Madhya Pradesh, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ended his fast this evening in Bhopal. He was on indefinite fast since Saturday to restore peace in the state. Veteran BJP leader and former chief minister Kailash Joshi gave coconut water to Mr. Chouhan to break the fast.
Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Thawarchand Gehlot, BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and other senior party leaders were present on this occasion.
They had appealed him to break the fast. Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the procuring of farm produce below support price will be treated as a crime in the state. He said he will not let the state be inflicted with violence at any cost.
