Former Karnataka chief minister and BJP vice president B S Yaddyurappa has been appointed as new party chief in the state while Union Minister Vijay Sampla will head the party unit in Punjab.

Party MP from Phulpur Kesahav Prasad Maurya has been given the responsibility of new party chief in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.

Announcing this in New Delhi, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh said Dr K Laxmanan has been made party president in Telangana and former MP Tapir Gao in Arunachal Pradesh.
