J&K: Bus from Katra to Jammu catches fire, 4 dead, several injured


Four pilgrims were charred to death and several others received burn injuries when a Jammu-bound bus from Katra caught fire near Nommai, three kilometres from Katra in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday afternoon. 

Twenty-four persons received burn injuries in this incident. Of the injured, 14 persons were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while ten others are undergoing treatment at Community Health Centre, Katra.  

The Forensic Team has rushed to the site of the incident to ascertain the cause of fire. Further details are awaited.
