Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that Indian oil and gas industry has made significant strides in recent years. Mr. Pradhan invited global industry and experts to become partners in India’s shared prosperity by enhancing India’s production of all forms of energy.

Speaking at the concluding Session of CERA Week India Energy Forum Wednesday, minister said that energy supplies were ensured by providing clean cooking fuel in the remotest part of the country in the challenging times.

Referring to Covid-19 pandemic, the Minister said, the world is going through an unprecedented health crisis and the pandemic is obstructing economic growth in the world. He said, the impact of Covid led disruptions to global energy sector supply chains have to be assessed and approach towards strengthening India’s energy sector need to be calibrated.

The Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted government’s commitment to provide equitable access of clean, affordable and sustainable energy to people of the country. He also spoke about series of policy reforms taken by the government to make India an attractive destination.

Around 40 global CEOs of oil and gas companies as well as Indian CEOs from public and private companies, participated in the event.
