One Indian fisherman was killed in firing near International Maritime Boundary line off Gujarat coast. According to Indian Coast Guard sources, incident occurred in the morning today.

40 year old deceased fisherman was identified as Iqbal. There were 6 fishermen in the boat which ventured in to the sea from Okha port of Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat.

Coast Guard team has rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, local fishermen association has blamed the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency for the attack on Indian fishing boat. However, the Indian Coast Guard has started the probe in this incident.

The Secretary of National Fish-workers’ Forum (NFF) Manish Lodhari has said that the firing took place near the International Maritime Boundary Line. He said that several rounds were fired on the boat near International Maritime Boundary Line at 9:00 AM. The fishing boat has been registered in Okha port of Saurashtra.
