The Nation remembers first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 98th Birth anniversary today. A remembrance function organized at Shakti Sthal, the memorial of Indira Gandhi in the National Capital.
President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, eminent leaders and other dignitaries pay tributes at Shakti Sthal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Indira Gandhi. In a tweet Mr Modi said that, tributes to Indira ji on her birth anniversary.
A series of functions are also be organized to highlight the contribution of Indira Gandhi in nation building. Indian Youth Congress will organize a national convention Maa Tujhe Salaam to mark her birth anniversary.
