Chinese President Xi Jinping is arriving in India on Friday for the Second Informal Summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mamallapuram in Tamil nadu.

As a strategy to build upon the ancient cultural and trade ties with China and also to showcase India’s diversity, the venue for this summit had to be outside Delhi and Mamallapuram was selected.

The historic city is getting decked up for the meeting between the two leaders on Friday and Saturday, with multi-layered security being put in place. More than ten thousand police personnel have been deployed at key locations in Chennai and the venue for the summit.

Prime Minister Modi will be arriving at Chennai tomorrow by a special aircraft, from where he will reach Mamallapuram by helicopter. The Chinese President will reach Chennai in the afternoon tomorrow and head to a hotel in Chennai, from where he will reach the venue by road.

The Pancha Rathas, Butter Ball, Arjuna’s Penance and the Shore Temple, are going to be visited by both the leaders in a prelude to the summit tomorrow. They will also witness a cultural show by kala kshetra foundation at Shore temple.

On Saturday, both the leaders will have a one to one conversation followed by a limited delegation level talks.
