India beat Ireland by a whopping 76 runs in the opening T20 International at Dublin last night. Riding on a 160-run stand between openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, India posted a target of 209 against Ireland.
Rohit Sharma scored 97 off 61 balls whereas Shikhar Dhawan smashed 74 in 45 balls.
In reply, Ireland could only manage 132 for 9 in 20 overs despite a breezy innings of 60 off 35 balls by opener James Shannon.
Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, whereas Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 3 wickets in 4 overs.
