Talking to media here Defence Minister AK Antony said that this was the main hurdle for the cordial relations between the two countries. He stressed that if Pakistan sincerely wants to have good relations with India then it must destroy the safe havens for terrorists on its soil.

“Safe heavens for terrorists and recruiting ground for terrorist are the main concerns for us. So we feel that if Pakistan wants sincerely to improve relations with India, they should dismantle the terrorist outfits on Pakistan’s soil”, the minister said.

In reply to a query on the post-Osama situation in the region, the Defence minister said that the current developments are likely to impact India also. He said that forces have already been alerted to remain more vigilant.

On infiltration, the minister said that by and large the situation has improved but infiltration attempts may increase during summer.
