President Pranab Mukherjee has said that India and Africa have to work together to strengthen the international regime against terrorism. Speaking at a banquet hosted by him in honour of dignitaries attending the 3rd India Africa Forum Summit last night, Mr Mukherjee said, terrorism knows no boundaries and has no ideology except that of wanton destruction. He said, India-Africa partnership is anchored in the fundamental principles of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit. He said, diversity is lifeblood for both the country and it enriches us and makes us stronger.

The President said the Summit is a demonstration of the importance India attaches to its relations with Africa. The active participation of all countries of Africa at this Forum reflects the desire of member countries to build an enduring partnership between both side and there peoples.

He expressed confidence that the fashioning of a collective vision for the future of the people will be critical in defining the direction and contours of political and economic engagement between India and Africa. Mr Mukherjee expressed confidence that this engagement would have an impact on the future of sustainable development of the world.
