Haryana’s Development and Panchayats Minister, Krishan Lal Panwar said that under the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission – Gramin scheme, the highest daily wage in the country ₹409 will be paid in Haryana. He was addressing a state-level event in Kurukshetra today, held to launch the Viksit Bharat G RAM G. He inaugurated the scheme in the state online by launching a pond excavation project in Shahzadpur village, Kurukshetra.
Shri Krishan Lal Panwar announced that wages would now be disbursed within seven days instead of fifteen now and a fine of 10,000 rupees would be imposed on any employee found negligent. He stated that biometric attendance at the workplace would be mandatory for laborers to prevent irregularities. Under this scheme, wage payments will be made directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Additionally, laborers will be granted 60 days of leave for crop harvesting and sowing operations.
