Punjab’s Harveen Srao, who has represented India several times, won the Women’s 10m Air Pistol competition at the ongoing XIX Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championships, at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range here on Wednesday.

The seasoned shooter shot 240.4 in the finals to outshine talented teenager Esha Gupta of Telengana who finished with a score of 238.9 for silver. Ruchita Vinerkar of the Railways won the bronze.

Also on the day, another Punjab athlete Anhad Jawanda, clinched the Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol gold in the same competition. Anhad shot a score of 28 in the final, beating Rajasthan’s Bhavesh Shekhawat, who came second with 26. Haryana’s Adarsh Singh won bronze with 22.

In the National T5 Selection trials, also taking place simultaneously, former Olympic bronze medalist Gagan Narang had won the Men’s 50m Prone event on Tuesday.
