Gurjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti agitation for five percent reservation in special backward class continued for the third day today at Samovar in Bharatpur district. The Rajasthan government had reiterated an appeal to hold talks over their demand. Gurjar Leader Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla said they were ready for talks at Bayna in Bharatpur with Cabinet Sub Committee if the state government was willing to offer a permanent solution to the reservation problem.

Colonel Bainsla said that the community now wanted its separate quota within the 50 percent limit set by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, train services on Delhi-Mumbai route were affected as agitators blocked rail tracks near Chokker in Bharatpur district for consecutively third day. Many trains have been diverted. Even state bus services have been stopped between Karauli Hindaun and Karauli Bayana.
