Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, his government’s transformation of aspirational districts programme would revolutionize development process in 115 backward districts in the country.
Addressing a public meeting at the remote Jangla village in Maoist-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh yesterday, Mr Modi said, these aspirational districts are all set to become a game-changer and emerge as a new model for change. He said the government is working with a new approach for the inclusive development of these districts which have remained backward so far.
The Prime Minister also launched the health and wellness centre, a component of ambitious Ayushman Bharat Yojana on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. He said Ayushman Bharat Yojana and other schemes would ensure social justice besides removing regional imbalances.
Mr Modi said, by the year 2022, more than 1.5 lakh health and wellness centres will be set up. He said these well-equipped centres would practically function as a family doctor for rural masses. He said Ayushman Bharat scheme will lead to healthy, efficient and a satisfied new India.
The Prime Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to making all possible efforts to bring misguided youth to the mainstream of the society. He exhorted the people of Maoist affected regions to participate in the process of development so that country could achieve new heights.
