Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has stated that while escalating geopolitical tensions involving Iran, America, and Israel have intensified challenges in the petroleum sector and driven up global petrol prices, the central government has actively protected Indian citizens from these price hikes.
Speaking to the media in Ludhiana, Mr. Puri praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure as a people-centric, development-driven era that has redirected India toward unprecedented progress across all sectors. Backing his statements with data, the Minister noted that over 24 crore people have been lifted out of poverty since 2014.
Additionally, more than 4 crore permanent (pucca) houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with ownership rights intentionally designated to women to foster empowerment. He emphasized that the Prime Minister operates fundamentally as a sevak (servant of the people), prioritizing national development, women’s welfare, and legislative representation for women.
