The Government has debunked videos circulating over social media in which Prime Minister, Union Finance Minister, and the RBI Governor are seen giving investment advice. The Fact Check Unit of Press Information Bureau has clarified that such videos are fake and digitally altered.
It stated that the faces of these prominent figures were used to make the clips appear authentic, and the lip movements were synced using AI. The voices were taken from other videos of these individuals to create a match. Government has advised citizens to understand the truth behind such promotional content before investing their money and cautioned them against falling for such suspicious links.
