Parliament of IndiaGovernment has clarified that CBI has not conducted raid at the DElhi CM Arvin Kejrival office but an officer of the Delhi Government.

Leader of the Rajya Sabha and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has clarified that CBI has not raided the office of Delhi chief Minister and the raids have nothing to do with Mr Kejriwal.

Jaitley’s clarification came in the wake of the allegation by Derek O’ Brien of Trinamool Congress that CBI has conducted raids in the Chief Minister’s office. Mr Jaitley said, the raid is in connection with a corruption case against an officer of the Delhi government and it pertains to past.

Earlier, the Rajya Sabha witnessed repeated adjournments on different issues before adjourning till 2 PM. As soon as the House met for the day, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad alleged that Arunachal Pradesh Governor has summoned the State Assembly without consulting the Chief Minister or his Council of Ministers. Responding to this Leader of the House and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley asked how the House can discuss about a State Assembly.

He also said the conduct of a Governor should not be discussed. The House witnessed noisy scenes as Congress members rushed to the well shouting slogans forcing its first adjournment for 15 minutes till 11.40 hours.

When the House met at 12.30 hours, Chairman Mohd. Hamid Ansari tried to start the question hour and asked the agitating members not to come to the well. Then, Congress members shouted slogans from their seats. Chairman adjourned the House till 2 pm as uproar over the alleged CBI raids continued.
