Two Delhi-based women were allegedly gang raped and assaulted by five men at a flat in Anjuna beach village in North Goa. Police said, the women, aged 22 and 30, were holidaying in Goa and had hired a taxi to go to Anjuna beach when the accused stopped them midway in Arpora village posing as anti-narcotic cell officers. Police said that they frisked the women’s bags and then took them to the flat where they allegedly raped and beat them.
All the five accused were arrested from the flat yesterday, in the presence of victims, after the taxi driver complained to the police.
