UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has suspended senior IAS officer BK Singh, the commissioner of Allahabad division for dereliction of duty. Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav today visited Fatehpur district, whereupon after the complaint of illegal sand mining in the Yamuna river bed, he ordered the suspension of senior official. The Chief Minister also instructed to investigate the role of other district officials who were found negligent towards the said illegal mining.
It recently came to light that the nexus of illegal miners had even constructed a temporary bridge across the river Yamuna, which was later demolished by local administration. Political circles were, however, abuzz with speculation as what led to no action against DM Fatehpur, who is directly responsible for the affairs of the district.
