Fresh floods have inundated many areas including Chennai suburbs and parts of Tuticorin, triggered by yesterday’s heavy rain in Tamil Nadu. Meteorology department has predicted more rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for tomorrow as well, due to a new low pressure evolved in South West Bay of Bengal.
Meanwhile, Chennai Metrowater has initiated steps to augment daily water supply to the city from the present 530 million litres to 830 million litres per day.
