Six persons, including a 64-year-old woman, were killed in state of Texas in the United States, following flash flooding, the worst in the area in 59 years.
The woman and her four great grandchildren were found dead after they were swept by fast-moving flood waters in the eastern Texas city of Palestine yesterday.
The mayor of Palestine, Bob Herrington, said in a statement that the City of Palestine has suffered the worst flooding event in his 59 years of living.
He said that it is too early to know the full extent of the damage, as homes and businesses, many of roads have suffered significant deterioration.
