The US investigation agency FBI’s terror probe into last Wednesday’s mass shooting in California has now expanded to Pakistan and other countries. FBI is leading the probe into the killing of 14 people by Pakistani national Tashfeen Malik, and her husband, Syed Rizwan Farook, of Pakistan-origin.

US Attorney General Loretta Lynch told media yesterday, Pakistan was one of those countries and there are other countries also involved. Lynch said, This investigation is wide ranging and

very complex amidst indications of radicalisation. She added, this is a terrorism investigation at this time. Investigating authorities

have done more than 300 interviews and have searched several locations since the shooting attack.

The Islamic State IS has claimed that the married couple were followers of the militant group. Attacker Farook’s father also reportedly told an Italian newspaper that his son supported IS ideology and was fixated on Israel.
