Elaborate arrangements have been put in place for tomorrow’s counting of votes for the 5-phased Bihar Assembly elections. Counting for 243 Assembly seats will start at 8 am and trends would be available from 9.30 am. Counting of postal ballots will be taken up first. Voting through EVMs will follow it.

Thirty-nine counting centres have been set up throughout the state. Observers have been deployed for each constituency. More than 14,500 officials have also been deployed for the counting process.

Electoral fortune of 3,450 candidates will be decided tomorrow.

Seventy companies of CRPF have been deployed, with a three-tier security arrangements put in place. Forty control rooms have also been set up to monitor the counting process. The Election Commission has said that the entire process will be videographed. E-counting software will also be used which will help the real counting compilation of round-wise data.
