Dimapur (Nagaland)
The ex-students of Dimapur Railway High School in Nagaland’s commercial hub are making elaborate arrangements for celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the premier educational institute.
According to Pranab Roy, Cultural Secretary of the Students’ Forum, various cultural programmes will be organised next month to celebrate the occasion.
Besides academic discussions, debates and poetry recitations, honouring the past and present teachers of the school will be also among the highlights of the three-day programme beginning May 12.
“We have lots of work to do for the betterment of this school and to nurture the blooming buds,” Roy said adding there is always an additional responsibility as the DRHS, Dimapur happens to be one of the oldest ‘temples of knowledge’ in the state of Nagaland.
He further said the Students Forum will be extremely grateful if former students from this premier institute – now residing outside the state and pursuing their respective career – try to get in touch with the organisers.
“We need man power and financial Assistance and through which we can bring our desired goal,” he further
said and advised well wishers to contact at [email protected].
