National Capital Delhi and adjoining areas experienced light rains early morning today. Met department said, due to western disturbance North India will experience rainfall and thundershowers today and tomorrow.

Senior official of IMD Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said, the western disturbance is will cause heavy rainfall at isolated places over the Western Himalayan region mainly Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Intense rainfall is also expected in Punjab and Haryana. He said, thunderstorm with squall or hail is also expected. Yesterday, Delhi had witnessed season’s highest maximum temperature of 41 Degree Celcius.

The rain this morning has brought much need relief to the Delhiites. Today minimum temperature is expected to settle at 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will hover around 36 degree Celsius.
