Death toll has risen to 33 in floods and landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rain in Nepal. The country’s Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement that 23 people are missing. Officials said, the death toll could rise as 75 houses have collapsed in some 10 districts due to floods.
They said, rescue workers evacuated hundreds of people from affected villages.
Millions of Nepalis are still living in tents or makeshift huts after a devastating earthquake last year that killed nearly 9,000 people.
