Communist Party of India welcomed the proposal of Delhi Government to give free transport to all women in Metro and buses.
This will help working women and girl students in particular. We further appeal to Delhi government to also consider giving free education or scholarships to girl students till PhD level.
This will help in bridging the gender gap by opening up better opportunities for women in employment and encourage families to allow girls to pursue higher education.
