A refinery for research on Cow-urine and cow products has been inaugurated in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Health Minister Rajendra Rathore inaugurated the cow-urine refinery at Pathmera village in Jalore district yesterday.
Rathore said scientific approach should be adopted for Indian traditional system of medicine and emphasised on the research of cow products and their application in the treatment of various diseases.
He said a MoU to this effect has been signed between Jodhpur’s Dr S Radhakrishnan Ayurveda University and the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Bikaner. Mr Rathore said by-product derived from cow-urine extract will be used for cleaning at the SMS Hospital in Jaipur. On the occasion, Animal Husbandry Minister for state Otaram Devasi said, Gaushala’s should be linked with MGNREGA.
