More cases reported in Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Libya

Health authorities in different Arab countries on Sunday confirmed more coronavirus cases and related deaths.
In Kuwait, three deaths and 548 new infections were reported over the past 24 hours, pushing the tally to 111,116 cases, including 658 deaths and 103,268 recoveries.
The UAE confirmed two deaths and 1,096 new infections, taking the caseload to 106,229, 445 virus-linked fatalities and 97,284 recoveries.
Oman registered 29 deaths and 1,761 new infections of the novel virus, bringing the total to 105,890 cases, 1,038 deaths and 92,840 recoveries.
Libya’s National Center for Disease Control said eight more people died of COVID-19, while 1,026 people tested positive.
As many as 24,712 people have tested positive in the war-torn country to date, besides 631 dying and 24,038 regaining health.
Saudi Arabia records lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since April
Saudi Arabia recorded 323 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest number of new infections since April.
Of the new cases, 64 were announced in Madinah, 27 in Riyadh, 21 in Hufof, 17 in Hail, 13 in Jazan, eight in Dammam and eight in Makkah.
The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 325,330 after 593 more patients recovered from the virus.
More than 5,000 people have now died from the coronavirus disease in Saudi Arabia with 25 new fatalities announced on Sunday.
Iran sees highest single-day death
Iran announced on Sunday its highest single-day death toll from the coronavirus with 251 confirmed dead, the same day local media reported two senior officials had been infected and the nation’s currency plunged to its lowest level ever.
Health Ministry spokesperson Sima Sadat Lari said the total confirmed death toll now stands at 28,544, making Iran the hardest-hit country in the region. Iran had just recently recorded its highest daily death toll four days earlier with 239 new fatalities.
