A Delhi court today convicted five persons in Danish woman gang rape case. The accused were also found guilty of robbing and kidnapping of 52-year-old Danish woman at the National Capital in 2014. Additional Sessions Judge Ramesh Kumar convicted them under various sections of the IPC and said that all accused are held guilty for all offences.
After pronouncing the order,the court fixed Thursday for hearing arguments on the quantum of sentence in the case. Three other accused in the case are juveniles and the inquiry against them is in progress before the Juvenile Justice Board.
According to the prosecution, the five, all vagabonds, had robbed and gangraped the Danish tourist at knife-point on the night of January 14, 2014, after leading her to a secluded spot near New Delhi Railway Station.
