AMN / BENGALURU
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Dinesh Gundu Rao today rejected any dissident activities within the party after the second cabinet expansion in the state.
Addressing media persons here, he said, it is just an emotional outburst by MLAs who missed the Cabinet berth. He explained that Ramesh Jarkiholi was removed from the cabinet as he could not attend the cabinet meetings and take up his responsibilities as Belagavi in charge minister due to personal reasons.
On the resentment expressed by BTM Layout MLA Ramalinga Reddy, the Congress state President said that justice had to be done to North Karnataka and therefore the party could not accommodate Reddy in the cabinet.
During the media interaction, Mr Rao announced expulsion of four Zilla and Taluk Panchayat members for anti-party activities.
