AMN / NEW DELHI

The Delhi Police today arrested three people in connection with the CBSE paper leak case. Two of the arrested are teachers and the other runs a coaching centre.

The accused will be produced before a court this afternoon. It is alleged that the teachers clicked photos of the paper and passed it to the coaching centre owner, who forwarded it to students.

The paper was also leaked in handwritten form.

The Crime Branch has, so far, questioned more than 60 people in connection with the case. Earlier google has given all the email details of the senders of the leaked class 10 mathematics question paper to the Delhi Police.

Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) RP Upadhyay said, a Class 10 student had received the mathematics paper on WhatsApp and he had used his father’s e-mail ID to send the mail to the CBSE chairperson. The student and his father are  being questioned.

The Police had asked the board to compile the list of complaints that it had received pertaining to the paper leak. The Police are analysing these complaints to ascertain whether they were acts of mischief or was there any truth to them. The Police also visited the schools and coaching centres in outer Delhi that had come under their scanner as part of their probe into the paper leak. More than 60 people, including 53 students and seven teachers have been questioned till now. The Police have zeroed in on six WhatsApp groups that figured in the trail of transmission of papers and they are being probed.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been strengthened with the addition of two more assistant commissioners of police and their teams. This was done since the ambit of the probe has widened and there is a possibility of the leaks being connected to other parts of the country.

The government has alerted the students that the Hindi elective paper for class 12 that is being circulated as a leaked paper for the exam scheduled for tomorrow is nothing but the hindi compartment paper of 2017. Secretary Human Resources Development Anil Swarup said this in a tweet.
