CBI Joint Director R P Agarwal today said that the Investigating Agency will not disappoint the country in the probe of the Professional Examination Board -VYAPAM scam of Madhya Pradesh.
Mr. Agarwal, an IPS from Assam-Meghalaya cadre, who is heading the probe into the scam. Talking to media in Bhopal, he said that the CBI will work with full devotion to solve the case. CBI team today arrived in Bhopal this morning to take over the probe into the VYAPAM scam and mysterious deaths related to it.
Special Task Force-STF’s senior officers Kamal Maurya and Rajesh Chandel met the CBI team in the CBI’s Bhopal headquarters this afternoor while in the evening, STF chief Sudhir Shahi and other officers called on CBI officials.
It is learnt that some documents have been handed over to the CBI by the STF officials. The STF, which was probing the VYAPAM scam so far, has about ten ton documents related to the scam. These documents will be handed over to the CBI. Experts say the CBI will need time to go into this one of the biggest recruitment and admission scam.
