Minister of State for Department of Personnel V Narayanasamy informed media on Friday that centre has accepted the Madhya Pradesh governement request for a CBI probe into this high profile murder case.
The Centre had received a letter from the Madhya Pradesh Government requesting for a CBI probe into Masood’s murder.
Reports say that Shahla call records showed that she had spoken to BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP,Tarun Vijay for nearly 30 minutes on the day she was killed. Police said calls records showed that Shehla Masood had spoken to Vijay over phone on the fateful day.
The RTI activist was shot dead inside her car by unidentified gunman in front of her Koh-e-Fiza residence in Bhopal on Aug 16 around 11 am and reports said she had been fearing her life from an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.
latest report says that CBI on Saturday registered a case relating to the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood who was shot dead outside her house in Bhopal.
The case has been registered against unnamed persons by Bhopal unit of the agency, CBI sources said in New Delhi.
Shehla sought information on RSS backed trust
Latest reports suggest that murdered RTI activist Shehla Masood had sought details about the business activities of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Anil Dave.
Shehla had filed applications with the Rajya Sabha Secretariat asking for details about BJP MPs from Madhya Pradesh.
She wanted to know details about Narmada Samagraha, an NGO backed by the BJP Rajya Sabha MP.
Interestingly Shehla herself was working for the RSS backed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Trust, and Rashtriya Muslim Manch and used to organise events for them from in different part of the country
