Campaigning for the assembly elections in Puducherry is in full swing. It has been peaceful so far thanks to proactive measures taken by the Election Commission and Police. Central para military forces has taken out flag marches in different areas to instill confidence among voters.
Union Minister and BJP leader Piyush Goyal is campaigning in Puducherry today in favour of BJP Candidates. Speaking to Media he said BJP is the only alternative in Puducherry, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. DMK, AIADMK, Congress and NR Congress are all neck deep in corruption he said. He asked the people of the Union Territory to vote BJP to power.
CPI (M) today released its 32 point manifesto ahead of the Assembly Polls. The party claims that the Government of NR Congress was just an extension of earlier Congress regimes and it has failed the people of the Union Territory. Chief Minister N Rangasamy will release his Party’s manifesto this evening.
Meanwhile Union Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh will address a public Meeting in the outlying enclave of Karaikal. He will canvas votes for the five BJP candidates in Karaikal.
