The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has expressed satisfaction over portfolio allocation of different Ministers in the new Government. The allocation indicate that second term of Modi Government is destined to deliver results with an aggressive approach on all fronts.
CAIT Secretary General Mr Praveen Khandelwal said that With Mrs Nirmala Sitaraman as Finance Minister & Mr Piyush Goyal as Commerce Minister it is expected that GST taxation system will be more simplified and domestic trade under Ministry of Commerce will have new better avenues for development of internal trade and small manufacturing whereas e commerce policy will be made in order to protect Indian traders.
Mrs. Smriti Irani as textile minister will continue upgradation of textile business in the Country and efforts will be made to make more women as entrepreneurs and issue of women hygiene will be on priority. It is also hoped that security of commercial markets & traders will be stepped up and Police force will be made public friend with Shri Amit Shah as Home Minister. Having Shri Hardeep Puri as Urban Development Minister the issue of Delhi sealing is now hoped to be resolved and Model Tenancy code will be declared. On the other hand with Shri Ram Vilas Paswan as Consumer Affairs Minister the Consumer Protection Act will see the light of the day.
The CAIT delegations will soon meet various Ministers of the Government to urge upon them to take core issues of the trade in centre stage of priorities . The CAIT is also seeking an appointment with Prime Minister.
