The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA), at a meeting held on Wednesday decided to convene the forthcoming Budget session of Parliament in two phases.
According to sources, the first phase of the session is likely to be held from January 28 to February 13, followed by the second phase from March 9 to April 2.
The session is expected to commence on January 28 with the President’s Address to a joint sitting of Parliament. The Union Budget for 2026-27 is scheduled to be presented on February 1 (Sunday).
