The BJP today took strong exception to the Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar’s statement that BJP is involved in caste-based politics. Briefing media in New Delhi, Union Minister and party leader Prakash Javadekar said, BJP’s agenda is development and it always talks about it. He alleged that it is the JD(U), RJD and Congress combine whose politics is based on casteism. Mr Javadekar said that Mr Kumar is making such statement in desperation.

On Nitish Kumar’s criticism against RSS over reservation policy, Mr Javadekar said, both BJP and RSS have already clarified their position on it. He said, the BJP does not favour any changes in the constitutional provision related to reservation policy.
