BJP today slammed Congress leader Sam Pitroda over his alleged objectionable comments on Indians. Briefing media in New Delhi, party Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, Mr Pitroda has insulted India’s culture and identity as well as the people of the country.

He said as the Lok Sabha election is moving ahead, the Congress is getting exposed. Mr Trivedi alleged the whole ideology of Congress is about dividing people. Party leader and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar alleged that Mr Pitroda’s comment reveals the mindset of Congress.

Earlier, Mr Pitroda had compared Indians from different parts of the country to Chinese, Africans, Arabs and Whites. Meanwhile, Congress has distanced itself from the comment of Mr Pitroda, saying the analogies drawn by him to illustrate India’s diversity are most unfortunate and unacceptable. In a social media post, party General Secretary, Jairam Ramesh said Congress completely dissociates itself from these analogies.

Country Will Not Tolerate The Disrespect Of People On The Basis Of Their Skin Colour: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister and senior BJP Leader Narendra Modi has said that the country will not tolerate the disrespect of people on the basis of their skin colour. Addressing a public gathering in Warangal, Telangana, Mr. Modi further attacked the Congress over former PM P V Narasimha Rao. He said BJP’s policy is Nation First and it works on that policy, whereas parties like the Congress and BRS have a family first policy. This family-first policy is also the reason that Congress neglected and disrespected P V Narasimha Rao. While, NDA has respect for P V Narasimha Rao and awarded him the Bharat Ratna, Mr Modi said.

Prime Minister appealed to people to vote for development and give a fitting reply to those who are damaging Telangana interests. He alleged that the Congress Government is protecting the BRS functionaries, who were involved in the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project scam. He also alleged that wherever Congress and INDI partners are forming the Government, they are making the state into an ATM. He recalled that a mountain of notes has been found in Jharkhand and 300 crore rupees found with a Congress MP. Mr Modi said the Congress government in Telangana emptied the state exchequer and stopped all development.
