BJP has retained power in the Tiwa Autonomous Council in Assam. The counting of votes for the 36 member council was held today.
The BJP won 33 seats while Asom Gana Parishad got 2 seats. Congress won 1 seat. The Tiwa Autonomous Council covered parts of Kamrup Metro, Morigaon, Nagaon and Hojai districts.
