Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday kicked off his election campaign from Samastipur, Bihar, stating, “The bugle for the great festival of democracy has been sounded, and all of Bihar is saying: ‘NDA government once more, good governance government once more, Bihar will keep those practicing ‘Jungle Raj’ away.'”
Addressing a massive rally in Samastipur, the Prime Minister noted, “At this moment, you are also enjoying the GST Bachat Utsav (Savings Festival), and tomorrow, the great festival of Chhath Puja is about to begin. Despite such a busy time, the huge number in which you have gathered here, the atmosphere in Samastipur, the mood of Mithila, has confirmed one thing: ‘Bihar will run at a new speed when the NDA government returns.'”
NDA Will Break All Records of Victory: PM Modi
Speaking from the land of ‘Jannayak’ Karpoori Thakur, PM Modi claimed that the NDA, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, is set to break all previous records of victory. He asserted that the NDA will receive its biggest mandate ever in these elections.
Targeting the opposition, PM Modi said, “You know more than I do what the RJD and Congress people are saying. There is no need to remind you. These people are out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores of rupees. Someone is out on bail in a theft case. Now their habit of theft is so ingrained that they are engaged in stealing the title of ‘Jannayak.’ The people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to Jannayak Karpoori Thakur.”
Homage to Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur
PM Modi termed the day as “extremely important” in his life. “Before coming here, I visited Karpoori Gram and got the opportunity to respectfully pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Jannayak Karpoori Thakur. It is his blessing that people from backward and poor families, like us, are standing on this stage today,” he said.
He emphasized the immense role played by Karpoori Thakur in bringing social justice and providing new opportunities to the poor and disadvantaged in independent India. “Our government had the privilege of honoring him with the Bharat Ratna. Our government considers Bharat Ratna Jannayak Karpoori Thakur as a source of inspiration. We are moving forward with the resolve of ‘Preference to the Deprived, Priority to the Backward, Service to the Poor.'”
NDA’s Foundation is Karpoori Thakur’s Social Justice
The Prime Minister stated that the path of social justice shown by Karpoori Thakur has been made the foundation of good governance by the NDA. “We have prioritized the interests of the poor, Dalits, Mahadalits, Backward, and Extremely Backward Classes,” he said.
