Counting of votes for the Bodoland Territorial Council is underway amid tight security in Assam. The Bodoland People’s Front has taken a huge lead in the early trends. Bodoland Territorial Region comprises five districts, including Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang, Udalguri and Tamulpur, consisting of 40 members. The polling was held on the 22nd of this month with 77.9% voter turnout.
