Judge of the special court C N Mathur rejected the bail application saying charges against Aseemanand are of serious nature and his act was against national integrity.
The counsel of Aseemanand, demanded his bail on the ground that chargesheet has not been filed against him within the 90 days of arrest. Last week, the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ajmer transferred this case to NIA court and Aseemanand along with three other accused were shifted to Jaipur jail from Ajmer. NIA has already filed chargesheet against two other accused in this case.
