Four terrorists were killed as Army today foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Naugam sector of Kashmir. The counter infiltration operations are underway in Naugam sector of Handwara sector near Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Tangadar sector in Kupwara and Gurez sector in Bandipora district.
Defence sources said the operations were launched in the wee hours in these areas. An army official said, alert soldiers posted along the Line of Control in Naugam sector noticed some suspicious movement and challenged the intruders. He said, the terrorists opened fire at positions of security forces which was effectively retaliated triggering a gunbattle.
