Afzal and Mukhtar, were the BSP candidates from Ghazipur and Varanasi in the last Lok Sabha elections, but mayawati expelled them from party few months ago.Earlier, they had deserted the SP, which is not interested in taking them back.

The new party will be headed by Mukhtar’s close confidante Mujahid, while his other close aide Rajendra Singh has been named as general secretary.

The first office of the party has been opend in Mau by brother Sibgat Ullah Ansari the cousin of Mukhtar ansari. On August 14 the party would open its office in Ghazipur unit.
