Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) has announced the launch of the 6th National Awards for Social Excellence 2026, inviting nominations from outstanding NGOs and Individual Changemakers across India who have made a significant impact in society through their dedicated service.
Instituted in 2021, the AMP National Awards for Social Excellence recognise organisations and individuals working tirelessly in the fields of education, humanitarian assistance, livelihood generation, human rights, community development and other areas of social impact. Over the past five editions, the awards have emerged as one of India’s most respected platforms for recognising excellence in the social sector.
Aamir Edresy, President – AMP, said, “We instituted the AMP National Awards for Social Excellence to honour the extraordinary efforts of NGOs and Changemakers who are transforming lives and strengthening our nation through selfless service.”
The 6th National Awards for Social Excellence 2026 will be presented on 15th August 2026, while the last date for submitting nominations is 20th July 2026.
Farooq Siddiqui, Head – AMP National Co-ordination Team, said, ‘These prestigious awards cover the following focus areas; Education, Employment & Livelihood Assistance, Humanitarian Assistance, Minority & Human Rights Issues, Community Development, and other Areas of Social Impact.”
NGOs from across India working in any of the above domains, as well as deserving Individual Changemakers, are encouraged to apply or be nominated.
Mirza Mobin Beg, Head – AMP NGO Connect, said, “The nominations will be evaluated by a team comprising eminent juries, based on several parameters, including the number of lives positively impacted through the organisation’s initiatives. Exceptional contributions by individuals, will also be considered for Special Jury Awards.”
The previous editions witnessed an overwhelming response from 10,000+ NGOs and social leaders across the country, from which 500+ NGOs as well as 500+ Changemakers have been awarded, reaffirming AMP’s commitment of recognising organisations and individuals making meaningful social impact. Awards are given at national and state level, including few special categories of awards.
Every verified and shortlisted NGO will receive an E-Certificate of Recognition, while the winners will be honoured during the National Award Ceremony on 15th August 2026.
