BJP today hit out at noted scientist P M Bhargava over his decision to return Padma Bhushan award to protest against the climate of intolerance in the country.
The party described him as a member of anti Narendra Modi group. In a radio interview, party spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao said Bhargava is a habitual protester and has strong prejudices against the Prime Minister, BJP and the RSS.
He alleged that the scientist was rewarded several key positions during Congress regimes. Rao described his decision as politically motivated.
