At least eight people were killed and 14 more wounded in two blasts targeting buses in the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul today. Two blasts occurred this evening near the Ahlolbait Mosque in the Sar-e-Karez area in Kabul city. The two buses held dozens of passengers and were headed toward Dashte-e-Barchi in western Kabul.

No terror group has so far taken responsibility for the attack. Afghanistan has seen a spike in the incidents of violence in recent weeks. This came as US withdrawal is underway and set to complete by 11th September.
