The AIADMK PTA party leader O Panneerselvam has reiterated that the merger of his party with the ruling faction led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy would be a reality very soon.
Addressing media in Rajapalayam, he said an accord has been reached following talks between the two factions. He said a formal announcement about the merger would be made shortly.
Last Friday, it was expected that both the leaders would meet at late AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa’s mausoleum at Marina in Chennai and announce the unification of the two factions at party headquarters. However, there were differences of opinion among the office bearers of the Panneerselvam faction over the terms of the merger.
