Ahead of the Independence Day, the Delhi Police yesterday put a ban on flying of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, microlight aircrafts, hot air balloons, small-size powered aircrafts and quadcopters in the national capital.

Delhi Police in a statement interpreted that certain criminals or terrorists, inimical to India, may pose a security threat by the use of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, or even by para- jumping from aircraft etc.
